'Congrats'

Big congrats go to our buddy, John, and his new fiancee, Elaine. We got to meet his little lady a few weeks ago, when they were in NYC for a wedding. She was graceful and sweet - a great catch!! Looking forward to having a good reason to go to L.A. next year.

'Two Days of TV'

Ok, the fall TV season has begun! The season premiere of HIMYM was great - all I hoped for and more. I kind of liked the show more without Lily in it, though. I caught the first episode of 'The Class,' which I thought was entertaining enough. I'll probably keep it on my DVR list, as I miss sitcoms. I had high hopes for 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,' although I feared I'd be disappointed. Shouldn't have worried, as it was FANTASTIC. I loved every minute of it. And shockingly enough, Amanda Peet didn't bug like she usually does. I heart Matthew Perry.

Last night, there is nothing I record, and I somehow got caught up watching 'Dancing With the Stars,' believe it or not. And wow, Joey Lawrence was so good, I watched his performance three times, I kid not. I even made Harold watch it when he came home from work late. And when did Harry Hamlin get so scary looking? I feared Emmitt Smith would be another Evander Holyfield, but he really impressed me last night. Much lighter on his feet than I'd expected. And I know I'm talking way too much about this show, but how happy was I when Mario Lopez got slammed by the judges for not doing a proper quick step? Ok - done.

'Pics From the Weekend'

Haeyeon noonah visited us over the weekend. She is just the cutest! The kiddies got along well, posing together and even crying together...

Here is evidence (blurry at best) of Ollie standing on his own. I was so anxious to catch it on film, I couldn't get a clear picture. He's starting to do it more and more these days, and he also walks fairly well while we hold one of his hands.

'Ramblings'

Not much going on with us these days. Harold and I did get out for a date night last Friday, while Chuck stayed home with Ollie. It was just like the old days - we ate kalbi and drank soju, then ended the night at noraebang. Of course, the raging hangover I had the next day reminded me why I don't do this any more. Ah well, it gave Harold and Ollie some father-son bonding time while I suffered.

Totally random - but hardly anyone in my office has heard of Wednesday referred to as 'hump day.' Isn't that crazy? I thought it was such a commonly known term.

Ok, I really need the fall TV season to start soon. The other night, I got sucked into the True Hollywood Story of Hip Hop Wives on E!. So sad, I know. But the new season begins next week, and I can't wait. I have high hopes for a few new shows - Ugly Betty, Six Degrees and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. 'Friday Already'

I have to admit that this week flew by for me. Not much happening, just keeping busy at home and work. Ollie is starting to stand on his own for a few seconds at a time, although he doesn't realize he is doing it. His favoritest thing these days is when we hold both his hands and walk him around. When he first started off, he looked like a very uncoordinated drunk person, kind of stumbling over his feet. Not anymore. He's become quite adept at this walking thing, and he loves it most when we have him 'chase' after Mommy or Daddy - so cute! He likes pushing his walker thingy ok, but he loves when we walk him around a lot more. This makes it easier to entertain him when we're out and about now, too.

And here are a couple of pictures of Ollie's side of the living room. (Ignore the cable wire behind the Jumperoo, as we plan to put a toy chest in that corner this weekend.) Of course, he prefers hanging out in the actual living space playing with the remote controls, cable box and DVD player.

'Sold Out'

Holy moly. I just went to purchase Oyster Riot tickets (they went on sale yesterday morning), and the event is already sold out for both days. I'm so sad, so very sad.
